Food is a pleasure we all enjoy. However, eating the right food is also a great way to protect and maintain your health.
If you eat the wrong foods, you will put on weight, for starters, and over time if you continue eating the wrong sorts of foods, you may develop other illnesses like diabetes, and heart disease, among other things. The right foods are like medicine. They can keep you healthy and protect you from certain illnesses and diseases. We all should be eating more of the right sorts of foods. If we were all more careful, we might be able to eradicate some illnesses and increase our lifespans.
So, let’s have a look at a few great foods to get more of:
Garlic
Garlic is a great food. Not only does it pack tour food with great flavor, but it is good for your health too. Inside garlic is sulfur compounds that may be able to protect your organs from any damage caused by heavy metals. Garlic is also proven to help you recover from colds more quickly as well as prevent them from occurring in the first place. It reduces bad cholesterol. It is also full of antioxidants which assist your body in fighting cancers. There is even evidence to suggest it can slow do en the aging process too, which is always a bonus. Garlic is also a natural antiseptic. There are, in fact, many more health benefits to garlic, so much so that it makes sense that the myth of it warding off vampires came about in the first place.
Green Beans
If you like green beans, then you’ll be happy to know that they have many health benefits too. First, off they are full of nutrients and vitamins, like vitamin C, quercetin, kaempferol, and flavonols. The antioxidants in these beans also help reduce damage to cells and help prevent cancers and other health conditions. Green beans are known to improve your heart health and your gut health. Avocados
Avocados are a pretty versatile fruit. You can have them on a salad, mashed up on toast with a little salt and pepper, you can add them to a soup. There is so much you can do with this fruit. And the best part about it is that they are jam-packed with healthy fats that enrich your body and help it function more effectively. Avocados increase the good cholesterol levels in your body, otherwise known as high-density lipoprotein. By increasing the good cholesterol, you have something that removes more bad cholesterol from your blood. Avocados are full of vitamin E, which is one of its antioxidants, and antioxidants are cancer-fighting. Avocados are also believed to help the body increase its absorption rate of other good nutrients. It may be worth adding a few avocados to your next shop.
