Fix the Little Things
When you have been living in a house for a while, there can soon be little snags that occur that you might not notice. It could be that there is chipped paint, marks on the carpet or stains on the walls. Try to fix up these little things by giving a new lick of paint, using a carpet cleaner and just freshening up the space. You will soon notice how much of a difference the smaller things make in your home.
Make it Smell Nice
Don’t underestimate the power of scent! By making your home smell nice, you will make it much more appealing to potential buyers. You can do this by adding in air fresheners or spraying the rooms with a perfume. You could also try baking something such as cookies before you have a viewing that not only smells amazing but also gives your house a real homey vibe that will have people feeling right at home and therefore more likely to make an offer.
If you have clutter, it can make it much more difficult for potential buyers to imagine themselves living there. Instead, clear away as much as you can - this will also be helpful for you in the moving process as you will have less to organise later down the line. Try to remove shelves that are packed with objects, too many family photos on the walls and any obscure objects that can be taking up a lot of space and making the rooms look much smaller than they are.
These are just a few of the top tips for selling your home. By following these you have a better chance of attracting more buyers and getting a better price for your house. What are some of the top tips you have for selling your home? Let us know in the comments below.
